The residents of the Kenai Peninsula Borough have a unique opportunity to elect a leader who brings a wealth of experience, passion, and a vision for the future. Robert Wall is the ideal candidate for the position of Kenai Borough Mayor, and it is time for the community to take notice.
Robert Wall‘s Story
Robert Wall’s journey to the Kenai Peninsula Borough has been an exciting one. From an early age, he knew that Alaska was where he wanted to be, and after earning his BA in Geology from Guilford College, he made the move to Sterling, Alaska in 1981. Robert has been an Alaskan resident for over 40 years, and during this time, he has developed a deep connection with the community and a passion for the land and its resources.
Professional Experience
Robert has been working in the oil industry for over four decades, starting out as a well site geologist, and then progressing to MWD Engineer, Directional Drilling Specialist, and now Drill Site Manager. Robert has been a part of many “firsts” in the industry, drilling the first horizontal well, the longest, and even the fastest succession of wells. As Drill Site Manager, Robert is responsible for overseeing the execution of multi-million dollar projects and managing daily operations that involve hundreds of employees. He is also the owner of his own consulting business, Top Performance Drilling, where he is known for his professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to safety standards.
Community Involvement
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Robert has also been a committed member of his community. He serves on the board of several organizations, including the Homer Electrical Association, the Kenai Peninsula Borough Road Service Area, the Sterling Community Club, and the Sterling Senior Center Endowment Board. He is also a past president of the Kenai Peninsula Farm Bureau and the Sterling Community Coalition Group, and is a leader in his church and a volunteer in his community and neighborhood.

Personal Life
Robert has lived his Alaskan dream. After purchasing 40 acres of land with a rustic cabin, he improved the property and built his current home. Robert and his wife Renae operate a farm that sells honey and rhubarb to Alaskan businesses in Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula. Robert enjoys fishing, hunting, mining, and boating, and is always active, whether it be through his work, community involvement, or personal interests.
Vision for the Kenai Borough
Robert believes that the Kenai Borough has abundant resources that must be responsibly managed for the benefit of the residents. As mayor, Robert plans to actively engage with developers with the goal of attracting more gas producers to the borough. More producers would assist the current single-source provider in keeping the Borough’s gas needs met as its population grows.
Robert also understands the importance of food security and plans to push for the establishment of a meat-packing plant in the Kenai Borough, as well as finding ways to increase local food production. He recognizes the challenges posed by federal and state powers and will stand firm for the right to strong local self-government.
Finally, Robert is committed to securing the future of the Kenai Borough by working to transfer the state land promised to the borough, ensuring that future generations inherit a thriving community.
